Dr. John attended St. John’s University on several scholarships and received his Bachelors in Science, majoring in Biology and minoring in Theology, graduating with cum laude. During his collegiate years he was very active on campus as president of the Coptic Society, an Egyptian Orthodox Christian club that was heavily involved in community outreaches focussing on the homeless. After being accepted to several dental schools, Dr. John chose to attend SUNY (State University of New York) at Buffalo, where he completed his doctorate degree as D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery). During this time he was the vice president of the Hispanic Dental Association. The club was involved in several services revolving around serving people in underserved areas, providing them with free dental care. Dr. John was also actively involved in Give Kids a Smile® and Smile Education Day, programs dedicated to providing free dental care and educating children on proper hygiene, respectively. After dental school Dr. John completed a 1 year GPR (General Practice Residency) at Kingsbrook Jewish Hospital working with specialists including; Oral surgeons, Endodontists (root canal specialists) and Pediatric dentists.

Outside of Dental school Dr. John still continued his passion to serve, being an active member of CMANA (Coptic Medical Association of North America) . Through this organization, he went to Bolivia providing free dental services to the poor and plans on serving in other countries. Wanting to expand his scope of dentistry, Dr. John has taken several CE (Continuing Education) courses to provide his patients with the best care and latest technologies in dentistry. He stays current with new advancements by being a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is a certified provider of Invisalign™; an innovative form of orthodontics involving nearly invisible aligners.

In his free time Dr. John is involved with his church volunteering for services and enjoys spending time with his family, friends and playing/watching basketball.
